Short version: WILDA collects no personal data about children. No login, no profile, no ad tracking.

Below we explain exactly what happens to data when you use the experience.

Your location stays on your phone

The map may ask for your position to show how close you are to an animal. The position is used only inside your browser, in real time.

We never send, store or share GPS coordinates. If you decline location access, the map can still be viewed but animals cannot be unlocked.

Your collection is stored locally

Which animals you have met, which answers you have watched, which facts you have collected and your sound setting are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device.

There are no marketing cookies and no data leaves the device. Clear it all by clearing browser data for wilda.earth.

Anonymous statistics

To understand whether the experience is used, we count events with no identifiers at all: the map being opened, an animal being greeted, an answer being watched and a diploma being reached.

We store the event type, which animal it concerns and the time rounded to the hour. We do not store IP address, device id, session id, browser information or location.

The statistics therefore cannot be linked to a person or a device and are not personal data under the GDPR, so no consent is required.

When you contact us

If you submit the demo form we store your name, email, organisation and message so we can reply. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).

The data is kept while the conversation is relevant, at most 24 months, then deleted.

Sub-processors

We use providers for hosting and database within the EU/EEA, and Google Maps to display the map. When the map loads, your browser contacts Google under Google's own privacy policy.

We never sell data and use no ad tracking or profiling of children.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection regarding data we process about you. Contact daniel@wilda.earth.

You may also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
